We meet so many people throughout our life. We like some people and want to be in touch with them, some we don’t like, and some we are indifferent. We normally take our time to study those whom we like and get to know them. With some people, we just connect instantaneously, and often it turns out to be correct and they will always hold a very special place in our hearts forever. Rajes Anta fits perfectly into this category.
You arrived in Canada back in 1989, and I met you the very first day and took an instant liking to you. You were a full-time homemaker while you were living in Sri Lanka. You came to Canada with your three children. As you got over the jetlag the first thing you wanted to do was to find a job to provide for your family. Never wanted to depend on handouts. Within a month you found a job to your liking. Your bosses and coworkers admired your hard work and work ethic.
Very hard to find a kind-hearted person like you. Your kindness and charisma brought you many friends from all walks of life. I mostly admired two of your great qualities. You never complained or looked for sympathy. Very calmly you got on with life.
Can anyone forget your cooking? You made delicious food and regularly invited me to share. Your hospitality is remarkable.
May the good Lord grant you eternal peace. I will cherish your memories forever.
May the good Lord give strength and courage to Chrishanthan, Manju, Vijay, Ethan, Reya, and all your siblings to cope with this great loss.
Good Bye Rajes Anta.
